Students woke up to snow on the ground as an early December cold front passed through North Texas.  The snow was already melting as many students walked to class swaddled in warm clothes, umbrellas and boots.

“I’m from Houston. This is not how weather is supposed to be in Texas in my opinion,” said UNT student Mark Smith. Runs: 04

Enjoying the first frost was short-lived. Today’s snow will melted by
mid-afternoon.

“Am I going to play in it? No, it looks like it’s all gonna melt. I don’t know, the time might be passed for that,” said Smith.

Smith may have more opportunities for snowball fights later this week. Freezing temperatures are expected tonight through Friday.
